I saw AC/DC in 1979 at Cobo Hall in Detroit. I have to say that was the best concert I'd seen, But Bon Fire was also great, Im a 45 yr old rocker and have to say they rock the house down and I'm still recovering. As long as this band is around I'll be following.

HOLY SHIT!! This was a show to remember!Bon Scott reincarnated?? I gotta say Bon Fire preformed and look like the real deal....they have the moves and an energy that hits you like a rip tide ....they get your attention and pull you in deep. It was hard to watch them as a whole cause they all ROCK individually!! I must say I feel that I saw Bon Scott and the boys last nite. Now aside from they're kick ass set Bon Fire are a bunch of cool dudes they know how to ROCK and thats how they ROLL. If you havent seen this band you owe it to yourself to go see them.... and if you do buy'em a round of drinks and tell'em "Have a drink on me"

TO THE BAND ... Thanks for a great show and good times we'll see you L.A. and hopefully at Rock the Mountain or Rock the Rez next year. Peace my bothers... Enoch

I drove over 200 miles round trip to witness this fantastic show. The music is spot on and the singers voice never got weak and held strong. This act is so strong that they need to open up for the real AC/DC the next time they tour hopfully this year what a show that would be. The show consisted of a 3.5 hour set that was perfect. Every song was to the core HARDCORE It was bone chilling and is the closes thing to see what it would of been like to see AC/DC in the 1970's I know I seen AC/DC two times 1978 and 1979 and these guys did Bon and AC/DC justice for thier performances. We salute you for your true to heart performances thank you so much for keeping Bon and 1970's AC/DC alive and rockin.

It was an emotional experience for me.

...It's been awhile since I've seen a tribute band THIS damn good. They shook Fishlips All Night Long (sorry - I just HAD to get that pun in...).

The music, the mannerisms, the look was dead on AC/DC and all those who came in were NOT disappointed. In fact, I haven't seen this much energy at any live show in Bakersfield in a long long time. It was worth the $10 to get in.

This is the fifth time we have seen BONFIRE and they totally rocked Paladino's! What a great show! They had everyone on their feet dancing! It was an awesome show - they totally rocked the place from beginning to end - they were louder than hell and my ears rang for two days - but who cares - it was well worth it and I would do it all over again tonight if they were playing somewhere!

Too bad they ran outta time and they couldn't play "Highway to Hell" - (my theme song I play every morning on the way to work)- but, all-in-all it was a great show - Totally HOT and totally energized with every beat - the lead singer must be Bon Scott reincarnated - it is totally unbelieveable - he looks, moves, dances and prances around the stage rolling his eyes and giving a grin to everyone to let everyone know he is lovin' every minute of it and the whole band pumps out 100% energy! Keep it up! We are telling everyone about BONFIRE - and letting them know they need to get out - wake up and go see you guys for an ass-kicking show! BONFIRE ROCKS! We'll be at your next show for sure! Keep up the great shows!

GUYS!! WTF!! All I can say is... DAMN!! BANGIN SHOW!! WHEW!! I mean, that had to have very well been your best damn show to date! Granted, all of your shows are Great As Hell, but you guys really out did yourselves this time around for sure! You all went above and beyond to which I did not expect. I actually thought you all were gonna cut short on the set list because of time constraints. But however, that was not the case. On the contrary. You guys went straight through on that long set list and even played several more not even on the line up! And what a set list it was!

I was pist because I didn't make it to Paladino's to see you all do the "Highway To Hell" album in it's entirety, but this more than made up for it. You guys played all of my favorites including one to which I had not heard until that night. (Love Hungry Man)
Only you guys could pull that one off.
You guys are truly a World Wonder without a doubt!
I just love how you guys usually have a penchant for beginning the show with "Live Wire". It's perfect for setting up the stage for the ensueing Rock And Chaos! OH HELLZ YEAH!! \m/ \m/

Thanks guys! Keep up the good work! And Thanks for the request. (Kicked In The Teeth) I Salute You!!

Well, to simply say fantastic or awesome I believe does not give you guys enough credit. Can I say it was surreal? It felt like I got in a time travel machine and was watching the one and only AC/DC. Perhaps I am biased since I really dig the way you guys play, so let me tell you some of the other accounts. Seven others ended up meeting up with me there, one goes with me all the time and he echoes my sentiments. the others could not stop talking about you guys and made sure to mention they want to see your next performance and many after that. One guy in particular is the pickiest guy I know and he continually said you guys are awesome! Matter of fact, several others were supposed to go but flaked out, he makes it a point to rub it in and let them know they missed out on a GREAT show!

What's the best sign that it was an awesome show? I work with all the guys that went last Friday and none are what you would call big AC/DC fans. When I came in to work on Monday, every single one of them was playing Highway to Hell and other classic AC/DC albums!! I just leaned back in my chair and enjoyed the change in them. that should speak volumes as to how great the show was.

I'm a little young to have seen Bon Scott before his untimely death but you could have fooled me. Friday nights performance at Paladinos was incredible and well worth the drive from Orange County. I got turned on to Bonfire by my brother when I was visiting from the East Coast...its the greatest thing he's ever done for me. He gave me a chance to climb aboard a time machine and go back to 1975,the debut year of High Voltage, which was the collection of all of AC/DC's best songs of the previous two years of performing in Australia. That album I consider their best work because it encapsulated the innocence and desperation of a fledgling band struggling toward the edge of greatness, and the raw power of a banshee gone beserk. Bon Scott's combination of egotistical bravado and subtle insecurity teamed with his sophomoric yet determined wailings set the stage for an emotional rollercoaster. Then fuel that with a powerful, incessant, staccato rhythm and a gutsy, syncopated high wire act by that petulant little schoolboy and you have got the makings of one of the most memorable evenings of my life. I will never be able to say that I actually saw that classic rock band live in '75, I was only 19 at the time and I wasn't hip to the music back then. Now I am 50 and I have been dying to get a glimpse at the past to see what it was really like to experience the magic on stage from that charmed group of lads from Down Under who were starting a legacy of exposing heart felt emotion on a rock'n roll stage. I can say, however, that I did experience it in a dream, and that dream became fulfilled on that special night at Paladinos. Thankyou, bro, for the tip. I owe you Big Time!

Outstanding tribute to early AC DC. This is an absolutely legit group of guys dedicated to the Bon Scott albums of the early band. Your song list is PERFECT. Nothing could have made me cheer louder than when you blazed into 74\' Jailbreak and all those kids wearing the ACDC shirt they bought at Hot Topic earlier that day were chanting for Back n Black. There are many cover and tribute bands nowadays and then there are v-e-r-y few acts that DO capture the spirit of the band they are paying homage to and mirror not only the look, but the musicianship and feel to be put into each song. Up on that short list is Bon Fire.
Being a huge fan of Bon, I'm lucky to say that being 17 yrs. old, I saw him and the boys, live, front row, back on Sept. 16th, 1979, El Paso, TX. Civic Center. Bon Fire accomplished the task of taking me back almost 27 years in time with their performance. It is that good.
The 'Angus' stage antics are very accurately pulled off and parallel to the real deal....not easily done, considering the intense guitar work involved. The support offered by 'Malcolm', 'Phil' and 'Cliff' rounded up tightly the instrument parts.
And then there's the 'Bon' side....man, two words: DEAD-ON. The look, the mannerisms and stage strut-n-swagger, the Scottish-Australian accent and most important, the vocals range and intonation. All done in that unique Bon style....the best front man in the history of rock.
The set included the expected tunes. Of course, "Live Wire" as opener. Personally, I would have thrown out of the list "Girl's Got Rhythm" and opted for "Down Payment Blues" or "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be". A personal favorite, "Walk All Over You" was my evening highlight. "Sin City", "Whole Lotta Rosie", "T.N.T" were sure-fire crowd pleasers and the expected "Highway to Hell" wrapped it up.
It would be great if Bon Fire included "Ride On" in their repertoire: bluesy and eerily accurate to Bon's fate, the most prophetic lyrics he ever wrote.
As I mentioned to Bon Fire's singer after the show, some generations have had their Elvis, Lennon and Kobain.....for me it was Bon Scott. Period.
Thanks for a great show, guys. You nailed the tribute concept right on the balls. Come back soon to San Diego and let there be rock.

Nothing quite compares to loud, in your face rock n' roll like these boys cooked up last Friday night. Granted, it was an early show and you could almost feel the soundman's desire to crank it up a few decibles, but dude...they rocked. It was insane to watch the kids headbang at the front of the stage. My 10 and 12 year sons are now full-fledged 'DC fanatics like their old man. I encourage anyone reading this to get their asses to the next show. These are tremendous musicians, and like all classic rockers, they definately feed off the crazy motherfuckers in the the front row. Favorite moment of the show: Intro to "walk all over you" when the two chicks started slow dancing on stage.
I salute YOU!

have always loved AC/DC, but unfortunately didn't have the chance to see them with Bon Scott, but from the videos I have seen and seeing AC/DC live when I was able in my young 27 years of age, this tribute band is just that- a tribute in every detail and sound! Every time I go I try to invite more people to experience this unbeleivable show, and they are always blown away. The sound is great, every member really going all out to look just like the O.G. AC/DC, they just bring such an amazing energy, every one who is lucky enough to see Bonfire becomes an even bigger fan of AC/DC or is newly converted! And my friends and I have had the great opportunity of meeting the members after or before the show and they are so rock-n-roll, just great guys. Thanks for the music guys! Keep rockin' 'til the next time we see you at McMurphy's!! By the way 'The Jack' makes me hot!

If you really appreciated Bon Scott\'s over the top attitude, tongue-n-cheek lyrics and macho swagger, then you will fall in love with Bonfire. These guys transport the audience back in time to the late 70\'s, to a night with the classic lineup of AC/DC. They look great, sound great and resurrect the genius that is \"BON\". The set is classic Bon-Era AC/DC. Some of the highlights for me were \"Touch Too Much\" into \"Walk All Over You\" and dead on renditions of \"Problem Child\" and \"Sin City\". Fantastic show and will be seeing them again.

It was the first time i have seen your show. You guys really brought me back. I saw early ac/dc (bon scott) in concert when i was 15. It was exactly how i remember it. I cant wait to see you guys again. Please keep your original format brian johnson (back in black) would not work for you guys. Its better left alone. The whole point for your band is that no one can ever see Bon Scott perform and your singer has him down perfect and it will be the closest thing to seeing original ac/dc.

Bonfire transports Paladinos from a dive in Reseda, CA to a dive in some back woods town in Australia. It turned out to be a short set, but this allowed two great things. First off, no post Bon Scott songs were played. This kept the show pure. Secondly, the short set keeps fans wanting more. I tell my friends about this band all the time and their comfort zone doesn't allow them to venture out, but this is one of the greatest bands and such a sincere tribute to the honesty, humor, and spirit of Bon Scott. Thank you Bonfire!

Hey guys!
The show at Paladino's on Saturday was KICK ASS!! I absolutely loved it and am still in awe at how you guys really capturaed the essence of AC/DC to each extreme detail. I was the chick with the brown hair and black tank top in front and I got to sing a few lines of Sin City (totally made my night by the way). Remember me? Anyways, I had the pleasure of meeting Sean and Steve (I think those names are correct) and you both totally rocked. I look forwrad to seeing you guys play out again. Thanks again for the great show!

We went out to see BONFIRE last night and had never seen them before - we were so impressed with how much the lead singer looked, acted and sounded like Bon Scott - they put on such a great show - They had such excellent stage presence - we really cracked up the way the lead singer strutted around and rolled his eyes around and smiled - it was so "Bon Scott" - We will keep checking the L.A. Weekly and will definately check them out again next time they play and we'll be telling all the cool people we know to go check out Bonfire if they want to be sure to have a good time! Keep on rockin' - Bonfire is a kick-ass band! We had a great time!

I know I've already left a review...BUT, I think it's time for a new one! I played a show across the street from you guys in Whittier a couple months ago and packed my gear as fast as HELL so that I could hurry up and attend your show. Though there were few people out that night, I noticed that you still destroyed that small, but mighty crowd! I forced my friend to come see you that night and for the entire ride home, we were talking a hundred miles an hour about how unbelievable you boys were! WE COULDN'T SHUT THE F*** UP about how solid and right on, you guys were. And again I thought, "AC/DC needs to see this."
I think they'd sh** 'em. They'd sh** those pants! Alright, enough gushing!! I'm going to the Pasadena show!!! I don't care if I have to kill some people to get there...and I'm a pacifist!!! Thanks for being so f***in' GOOD! YOU BASTARDS!!

I have seen some great tribute bands, including the Atomic Punks, but even at the best of these shows I never lost sight of the fact that it was a tribute act. That was before seeing Bonfire. Like the rest of the small but great crowd I was just into it. Everything was dead on Bon Scott era AC/DC. My friends don't share my taste in music so I went alone but still had an awesome time! This was the first time I've seen Bonfire but it won't be the last. Thanks guys for the great music and for the suspension of disbelief!

This was the second time we have opened for Bon Fire and the third time We've seen them. These guys are INCREDIBLE and I dont use that word lightly! The most amazing re-creation of Bon Scott era AC/DC im sure to ever be on stage since ..well, Bon was alive. Watching them you dont get the idea that they are "Tribute" band, but embody the real soul of what Bon must have been like to be seen live back in the day. The other players are equally amazing, from "Angus's" guitar tone and stage antics, and the whole locked in groove of the rest of the players, This band deserves to be named "best Tribute band" in L.A. if they havent been already ( im new to the area) Cant wait to see them the next time around!

Bonfire is AMAZING! I am old enough to remember actually seeing AC/DC with Bon Scott in 1978. This guy who re-creates the Bon experience is 100% right on! Physical resemblance 100%. Stage performance 100%. Singing 100%. A perfect Bon score! I had to get on my feet and do the rock and roll boogie! The drummer did Phil's parts excellently. Ditto the rest. This is NOT a shabby, thrown together, cash-in tribute act at all! I recommend this show to all who are in awe of Bon Scott! Bonfire dared to play some Black In Black. It was a slight stretch but actually worked. Seeing "Bon" singing "I'm back in black" was a sort of ressurection.

The vibe to this show show was almost on par with the vibe to the February 5th show. I feel that the sound and the set list actually outdid all previous shows. Playing The Jack and ending with Jailbreak was a great line-up. The two drunk girls that got on stage were fun to look at especially when the band saved one from taking a nose dive. I don't think it would have hurt anyone if the blonde took her top off. The lead singer of Thnderherstruck (who is sexxxxxy)did a great job on Rosie. I will check out her band's show on March 18.

I want to use this fan board to state that this band evokes an honest compliment to the music, sound, and soul of ACDC. Each band member makes up an essential piece of this incredible show.

Hello.
This letter has been over a year in the making.
I just kept putting it off, telling myself "One day I'll get to it."
I have been a big Atomic Punks fan for the longest time. I moved to Texas 3 years ago, and when I planned to fly back to California for a visit...I made sure to see them. What happened next blew my mind. I got to the 14 Below club early. Very early....to make sure I could get right up to the stage. Finally after the first band was over, the curtains go up....and 15 minutes later they drop. Before me I saw standing a guy with his back to the audience strutting his stuff. When he turned around, and I realize what my ears were hearing, I was amazed. This is to you Oh Singer of Bonfire. YOU ARE INCREDIBLE. I am not even a huge AC/DC fan, but when I saw the songs of Bon Scott performed in front of me LIVE, I gained a greater appreciation of the music. I really wanted to hang around after the show and meet you and shake your hand, but my past experiences with musicians left a sour taste in my mouth, especially singers. I thought "ah he'll probably have a huge ego and say shoo fly don't bother me." Some guys are so full of themselves, you'd think they were playing areana filled with thousands of people, instead of just some small club. So I opted this more passive forum to tell you that you are truly great. This show happened in December of 2003. I cannot say enough how impressed I was with your ability. It was like Bon Scott himself were standing in front of me, with missing tooth and all. You had everything down....the clothes, the hair, the accent, the voice, the fuzzy chest, the stage presence, EVERYTHING. Your guitar player was very entertaining too. AMAZING AMAZING show. I really appreciate you going all out as if it was the last show you will ever play. That night my friend stood me up at the last minute, but I didn't let that stop me. I almost thought about not going because I've seen the Punks 10 times. It wasn't just a case of me telling myself, "I'm going to have a good time no matter what." Sometimes people tell themselves that just so they don't get bummed out. But in all honesty, you guys really amazed me. I wouldn't say you guys were amazing if you really weren't. And I'm not just some drunkard who doesn't know anything about music. I might not know if you spell Bon with one N or two....but I know talent when I see it. I graduated GIT, taught guitar for 10 years, etc. So I don't just throw out haphazard compliments if I don't mean them. My girlfriend of the past 7 months has never been to California. We thought it would go for a 4 day vacation in June or July. I only hope that you guys are doing a show. That is one of my main motivations for wanting to go back to California for vacation. I really hope you have some gigs scheduled in June and in July. So next time you are loading up amps after a show and wondering if it was all worth it, or not happy with the turnout of people....just know that there might be some guy who appreciates what you do more than you will ever know.....I just wanted to let you know that the night I was there.....you really made a difference. I had a smile on my face the whole night. I left that little shitty shit hole saying..."Damn I wish I knew those guys....I wish those guys were my friends." You all rock. So I salute you.

Great show on Saturday. The only time I’ve seen the ‘Punks’ look like a warm up act and not the headliners. Excellent choice of songs for the set as well as getting that classic AC/DC guitar tone down about the best anyone could in that type of live setting, and good to see “Malcolm” bashing on a Gretsch, doing up right boys! Bon had such an original unique voice, not one to be easily copied and as I heard a guy next to me say “I think I’ve just seen and heard the ghost of Bon Scott.” Right on! Cheers and good work boys. Bonfire sent me back to when I was 8 years old and my uncle introduced me to AC/DC's High Voltage LP. I was hooked immediately. The movie "Rock Star" should have been about the legend Bon Scott and Sean should have played the lead. These guys rocked the house and even the subdued Queen Fans that were there to see another tribute band were taken back by the pureness of the rock and roll Bonfire laid out for them. I would have gladly help raise whatever amount of money needed to pay the other band to take the night off and let BONFIRE play for 2 1/2 hours and give me the opportunity to hear the obscure songs that I have never heard live. Get out and see this band.

WOW, what a show. That's all I can say after the hour filled with CLASSIC Bon Scott era rock and roll. From the time the first song played, the crowd was hooked with classics like TNT and the hits just kept on coming. The singer was Bon Scott reincarnated and the Angus Lead guitar player was OUT OF HIS MIND...JUST like Angus, hitting every lick and riff with pin-point perfection! From Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, to Whole Lotta Rosies, the band had the crowd in the palm of their hand, begging for more. When they played Highway to Hell, the crowd was on their feet and we were all transported back to the golden age of Rock and Roll, thanks to BONFIRE!!!

I'm not sure I got the date right. Anyhow, I was told that there was a tribute to AC/DC playing and I thought...Hey, sounds fun. Now, I knew deep inside, that there could be nobody who would sound like Bon Scott in some trtibute to AC/DC, so I figured...what the heck...I'll go solely to see the Angus Young impersonator. Well GOD DAMN!!! They dug up the grave of Bon Scott...and there he was on the stage! I shit you not!! The only thing running through my mind throughout the entire set was...HOLY SHIT!! IF AC/DC SAW THIS THEY'D COME TO TEARS!!! I am the last guy who goes and sees tributes....but I will try my hardest to attend all BONFIRE shows and I urge everyone to go!! Even if you hate AC/DC...you will unlearn what you have learned and become a REAL jedi knight by seeing this band!! Don't get me wrong though...the ENTIRE group is flawless...A masterpeice...I guarantee you won't see a better tribute EVER! -Benny

This is Bon Scott's AC/DC. I have seen all phases of the band, and when you are on the floor watching the members of Bon Fire parade and swagger across the stage it is hard not to lose yourself in the "High Voltage Rock & Roll" that is AC/DC. I actually felt as though I was watching Bon and the band. Bon Fire look and act the part so convincingly that you will swear that you just saw the real thing.

They blew away all of the other bands there that night. I cannot wait to see them again.

Bonfire: A Tribute to AC/DC with Bon Scott. This band brings you closer to AC/DC with Bon Scott than you ever imagined you'd get. Sean (Bon) is an amazing look-a-like, and tries hard as hell to act and sound like him, and he is shockingly good at it all, and is as likeable on stage as was Bon. Steve (Angus) has his work cut out for him, and, with Eric (Malcolm), suceeds well enough to capture the essence of AC/DC guitar - a magically viscerally pleasing energy that no other band has ever recreated. If you like rock'n roll, I recommend you see this band (everyone I have taken to see them has loved them). But if you're an AC/DC fan, you HAVE to see Bonfire. With just a little imagination they let you feel like you were really there 25 years ago.
